Improving people’s health through light
KUMUX is a start-up focused on transferring the properties of natural light into artificial light, to bring the sunlight benefits indoors and enhance people’s health and well-being.
Our team has the light and innovation knowledge to create software that uses existing lighting and control systems in buildings to simulate daylight in a completely automatic way.
KUMUX counts on BeAble Capital, a technology-focused Venture Capital, which supports this project from its origins at the University of Barcelona.
The company is capitalized by ENISA and INNVIERTE, an investment program of CDTI, E.P.E.

Our founders are a team of light lovers at the Department of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering of the University of Barcelona, in continuous research on the best quality light and how to make it available for users.
They decided to combine existing LED technology through software to create artificial light with the sunlight characteristics and benefits, by mixing several light sources.
FLEXILIGHT-UB was the artificial intelligence technology for lighting they developed. It was the origin of our current Spectrum Design Platform and KUMUX foundation, supported by the technology-focused venture capital BeAble Capital.
